It started with a dirty window and a conversation that changed everything.
One evening I was lying in bed, looked up, and noticed how dirty our windows were. And then a thought hit me: no one has ever offered me window cleaning at my house. Not once. Not a flyer on the door, not a knock, nothing.
I turned to my husband Curtis and said, “You are going to think I’m crazy, but I want to start a company and I want to name it Meticulously Clean Services.”
He gave me that look. You know the one. But I laid it out: we have dirty windows, and I’m not going to pay someone to clean them, but I would love to be paid to clean them. The service didn’t exist in our area. So why not build it ourselves?
That was the moment. Not a business plan on a whiteboard. A real gap, a clear idea, and the willingness to go after it.
Before Meticulously Clean Services, I spent years as a Sales Manager in the corporate world. I managed people, hit targets, and kept clients happy. I was good at it. But I was grinding it out every day, never feeling appreciated, and missing time with my family that I couldn’t get back.
I left because I realized my skills could build something of my own, something where the work actually mattered to me and the people I was doing it for.
What came with me: clear communication, follow-through on every commitment, and the understanding that when someone hires you, they’re trusting you. Every client interaction at Meticulously Clean Services runs on that standard. You’ll know what to expect, when to expect it, and who to call if anything changes.
Curtis is my husband and co-operator. This is our business together. He was skeptical that first night (fair), but once he understood the vision, he was all in. We run Meticulously Clean Services side by side, and we’re doing this for our family, our freedom, and to build something our kids can be proud of.
That’s not a tagline. It’s the reason we get up early, stay late, and put our name on every job we take.
